We read every message. We can’t give advice on a specific site or design, and we don’t sell pavers, stone or installation, so we can’t provide quotes or recommend local installers.

Before you write

Most questions about results come down to one of these:

• Different paver size than expected: check whether you entered the nominal size (preset sizes) or the actual size with a joint (custom size). See how many pavers do I need.
• Base looks high: the base runs 6 in past the edges and includes 20% for compaction. Both can be changed under Base options on the paver calculator.
• Polymeric sand differs from the bag: the calculator gives a range from the joint volume; your bag’s coverage chart is the figure to follow. See the polymeric sand calculator.
